About 28 - 31 years ago, Wired Magazine ran a long article penned by Oracle’s Larry Ellison in which he heavily, stridently warned against AI. He was clearly terrified that AI would ultimately take over and supplant human beings if allowed to develop unchecked. So I am somewhat reassured that Ellison will NOT advocate anything stupid or naive regarding AI. His article was too fear-infused for him to forget his own warning.
