Celebrities & Influencers Demand Censorship of Trans Critics

Open letter to Zuckerberg, Musk, et al. asks for clampdown on opponents of butchering adolescents.

A long list of people who call themselves “celebrities, influencers, and prominent public figures with significant followings on social media” just sent a letter to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter bosses, demanding that they:

fulfill the promises you’ve made to transgender, nonbinary, gender non-conforming and all LGBTQ users in your terms of service. There has been a massive systemic failure to prohibit hate, harassment, and malicious anti-LGBTQ disinformation on your platforms and it must be addressed.

Most notable in their letter is the following statement:

We call for you to meet with community leaders and creators to hear about these real world harms that result from anti-trans content on your platforms — and to create and share plans for how you will address: 

• Content that spreads malicious lies and disinformation about medically necessary healthcare for transgender youth. As described above, such harmful content from high-follower hate-based accounts has resulted in extraordinary real-world harms. Specific mitigations on such disinformation must be developed (for instance akin to election and COVID-19 mitigations and rules).

This letter is a glaring reminder of KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov’s statements—in a 1984 interview with American author G. Edward Griffin—about a process he called Ideological Subversion. He described the objective of this process as follows:

To change the perception of reality of every American to such an extent that despite the abundance of information, no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their communities, and their country.

The process of ideological subversion begins with the indoctrination of children. Instead of being educated to read, write, and think critically, they are brainwashed with crude ideological schemas. As Bezmenov described it, “The ideology of Marxism-Lenism is pumped into the soft heads” of young people. The result of this is that young people ultimately cannot tell the difference between black and white or man and woman. Their perceptions of the world become unmoored from basic and fundamental factual reality.

We see a stunning expression of Bezmenov’s concept in two notable statements in the letter:

1). “Content that spreads malicious lies and disinformation about medically necessary healthcare for transgender youth …”

Medically necessary? Is, for example, removing the breasts from a confused 15-year-old girl medically necessary?

2). “Specific mitigations on such disinformation must be developed (for instance akin to election and COVID-19 mitigations and rules).”

Ah yes, the COVID-19 censorship campaign—what a triumph of knowledge advancement that was!

And so we see that the long list of “celebrities, influencers, and prominent public figures with significant followings on social media” know nothing, understand nothing, and have no intellectual or moral discernment. They are the apotheosis of the demoralization that Yuri Bezmenov warned us about in 1984.
