I have found each podcaster has their own media style. The podcast has come to symbolize unfiltered truth delivered in a punchy style. I had the chance recently to go on The Real Truth, with popular podcaster and rapper “Zuby.”
Nzube Olisaebuka Udezue, better known by his stage name “Zuby,” is a British rapper and podcaster. Born to Nigerian parents in Luton, Udezue was raised in Saudi Arabia and educated at St Edmund Hall, Oxford. He began rapping at university and has since self-released three albums.
In March 2019, Udezue received media attention after posting a video on Twitter of himself performing a deadlift of 238 kg (525 lb), with a statement saying he had broken the British women's deadlift record while "identifying as a woman (tongue-in-cheek)". Udezue stated that he published the video to criticize arguments that support allowing transgender women to compete in women's sports, which he believes are flawed.
I gave Zuby all he asked for and sensed he was nervous about his standing on YouTube and other platforms after he heard the “real truth.” I found it an odd and interesting style that he looks down and to his left and rarely up into the camera. I had a sense he never was looking at me while I spoke or sipped on my Dr. Pepper.
Please take a listen to this long-style Roganesque interview and give me your feedback.
