I think, just what I observe, since most people in my generation (in their 40s) don’t really even read and a lot didn’t read a lot of books on their own growing up, they just assume everything is fine. They know something is off and wrong but can’t quite grasp what’s really happening. My sister in law once told me she doesn’t care about politics and keeps away from it. I told her that doesn’t mean politics does not take an interest in you. She just looked at me. That’s my generation for you 🤦🏼♀️
Unfortunately I don’t think so. I’d be surprised if half of Americans have even read 1984 🤦🏼♀️
