"The Real Anthony Fauci." RFK, Jr.'s new book and film and his message for our readers

The film adaptation of The Real Anthony Fauci—Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s bestselling book—opens with an audio recording of President John F. Kennedy’s address to the American Newspaper Publishers Association at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City on April 27, 1961. The President’s subject was the critical importance of maintaining a free press for the maintenance of a free Republic. I’ve long admired this particular speech, especially the lines played at the beginning of his nephew’s new film.

The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society, and we as a people are inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.

President Kennedy gave his speech on the heels of President Eisenhower’s Farewell Address in which he warned the American people about the rise of what he called the Military-Industrial Complex. As he put it:

We must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought of unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.

Eisenhower and Kennedy both held office at a time when the Military-Industrial Complex was rapidly growing, acquiring “unwarranted influence,” and wielding it with “unwarranted concealment.” Both presidents were deeply concerned about this development. Eisenhower did his best to warn us about it; Kennedy was apparently determined to oppose it. As Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. documents in his new book and film, their worst fears have now been realized.

Over the last sixty years, the Department of Defense and its Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) have worked ever more closely with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to develop vaccines and other biotechnology products, purportedly to protect the American people from emerging infectious diseases, bioweapons, and bioterrorism. These agencies have worked ever more closely with pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer and Moderna, which was largely funded by a DARPA grant.

The stated mission of this Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex—to protect us from biological threats—sounds great. However, in practice, the Complex has acquired vast unwarranted influence and misplaced power with disastrous consequences. As Senator Rand Paul never tires of pointing out, the most catastrophic was the lab creation of the very monster the Complex claimed to be protecting us from.

In the year 1984, Dr. Anthony Fauci became Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Since then, he has come to resemble something like the Pope of the Bio-Pharmaceutical Complex. With his extraordinary verbal ability and air of confidence, Dr. Fauci has mastered the politics of medicine and become the de facto Chief Medical Authority of the United States. His mandate is to disburse federal grant money through his agency, and his liberal distribution of billions has made him many friends who have championed him. In the minds of about half the American populace, Dr. Fauci is the face of medical science.

Mr. Kennedy describes his new book and film as follows:

I explore the carefully planned militarization and monetization of medicine that has left American health ailing and its democracy shattered. I chronicle the troubling role of the dangerously concentrated mainstream media, big tech robber barons, the military and intelligence communities, and their deep historical alliance with Big Pharma and the public health agencies. The disturbing story that unfolds here has never been told, and many in power work hard to prevent the public from learning it. The principle character is Anthony Fauci.

Despite suffering from spasmodic dysphonia, RFK, Jr. has been one of America’s strongest voices in defending our Constitutional Republic from public health officials and politicians wielding emergency power. In rousing speeches reminiscent of his father’s famous University of Capetown address in 1966, he has articulated why we should never allow our Constitution to be compromised by fallible men who promise to keep us safe.

RFK Jr.’s criticism of vaccine makers has not been met with debate, but with vitriolic, ad hominem attacks, accusations of being a conspiracy theorist, and massive censorship. Implied in these attacks is that no one should dare even question the safety of vaccines. The Real Anthony Fauci is a work of magisterial scholarship for which he vetted thousands of cited sources. He also conducted extensive interviews with Dr. Peter McCullough, who repeatedly appears in the film.

Every statement in the book is documented with a citation of primary sources including federal agency documents, peer reviewed medical literature, and public records. Any reader can easily evaluate these sources. The Kindle edition features hyperlinks to the documents. Nevertheless, not a single newspaper reviewed the book, and no mainstream media pundit apart from Tucker Carlson interviewed him about it. Despite this media blackout, The Real Anthony Fauci has sold over a million copies. RFK, Jr. donated the proceeds to his Children’s Health Defense charity.

Much has happened since the book was published last November. All of the events and revelations since then have confirmed Mr. Kennedy’s worst fears about the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines. The film adaptation by producer and director Jeff Hays contains shocking footage of vaccine injuries, including a terrifying number of young athletes collapsing on playing fields. Countless incidents have been video recorded and local news stations and newspapers have reported them. However, as I recently noted in my post titled To an Athlete Dying Young, our mainstream media continues to pretend that the cause of these sudden cardiac deaths is a mystery.

Truly astonishing is the film’s footage of Dr. Fauci giving interviews at different times in his career in which he carefully explained why the development of any new vaccine is an extremely painstaking process that requires careful testing over a long period of time in order to avoid grave dangers, including the possibility of antibody-dependent enhancement. But then, when it came to the experimental mRNA COVID-19 vaccines developed at Warp Speed, he aggressively dismissed every expression of concern about the very dangers that he himself had previously articulated.

Though I was already familiar with all of the film’s subject matter, I was still frequently stunned by its vivid documentation. It’s one thing to read presentations of evidence; it’s quite another to see it in video recordings.

Yesterday a representative of Jeff Hays Films contacted us to deliver the following message from RFK, Jr., along with the request that we publish it on our Substack:

Our challenge is in developing new ways of communicating with the American public, and new institutions that are parallel institutions because the mainstream media will not allow discussions of this. … It's an assault on the First Amendment. If the government can silence its critics, it gives license for any atrocity. They went after freedom of assembly … They shut down businesses with no due process. …Every constitutional right we have, with the exception of the Second Amendment, was taken from us in a year. And it's all dependent on Americans not knowing the truth about what's happening. You guys are the spear tip on getting this information out to the public. Thank you very much. If we can tell people what the truth is, this will all end.
