The Vital Importance of Senator Ron Johnson's Reelection
Our Constitutional Republic's greatest defender may continue his work.
John Leake
All Americans who care about the integrity of the US Constitution and its protection of individual liberties can breathe a sigh of relief that Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin won his reelection bid. Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, he was the only Senator to question—and ultimately challenge—the federal government’s catastrophic policy response.
In 2020 he was chairman Senate Homeland Security Committee, and he used his position to hold three hearings (on May 6, November 19, and December 8) about the early treatment of COVID-19 and how it was being suppressed by our federal health agencies, and censored by mainstream media and social media platforms such as YouTube and Twitter.
Dr. McCullough and I document these historic hearings in our book. Senator Johnson’s opening statement for the November 19, 2020 hearing (at which Drs. Peter McCullough, Harvey Risch, and George Fareed were witnesses) went to the heart of the matter. He began by pointing out that, because COVID-19 was a novel infectious disease, it was not fully understood, which had made it necessary to make decisions with imperfect knowledge. Nevertheless, it had long been a basic principle of medicine that—when confronted with a potentially fatal disease—it is best to try to intervene as early as possible to stop the disease from progressing.
“Why wasn’t this logic applied to the coronavirus?” Senator Johnson asked.
This question has baffled me since March, and there’s probably not a single explanation. We do know that the coronavirus was politicized and was used as an effective weapon in the presidential election. We also know that some of the suggested therapies included off-the-shelf supplements and off-label uses of widely prescribed drugs. The cost of these therapies is well under fifty dollars, vs. a brand-new drug, remdesivir, that costs over $3,000 dollars, and can only be used in hospital, and therefore does not prevent hospitalization in the first place. Could Big Pharma have played a role in discouraging less costly alternatives? I think the answer seems pretty obvious, even though their methods will no doubt remain obscure. …
Since the onset of this pandemic, I have publicly advocated for allowing doctors to be doctors, to practice medicine, explore different therapies, and share their knowledge within the medical community, and with the public. I believe international, federal, and state health agencies and institutions have let us down. I fear too many have been close-minded bureaucrats, potentially driven by conflicting interests and agendas.
Tragically, media and social media have failed to ask the right questions and censored what they do not understand. My public advocacy has connected me to doctors and scientists who care, and who compassionately treat their patients in spite of the bureaucratic roadblocks they have encountered. …Three of those are here today. To me it is obvious that we should explore every possibility for treating this disease at every stage. Why has there been such resistance to low cost, off-the-shelf therapies that might stop the progression and help keep people out of hospitals and intensive care units? I hope today’s hearing can answer that question and help to correct this glaring blunder that has cost far too many lives.
On January 24, 2022, Senator Johnson held a panel discussion (COVID-19: A Second Opinion) “with a group of world renowned doctors and medical experts to provide a different perspective on the global pandemic response, the current state of knowledge of early and hospital treatment, vaccine efficacy and safety…” Dr. McCullough was one of the moderators of the discussion that included testimony from Drs. Ryan Cole, Pierre Kory, Robert Malone, and Paul Marik, as well as several smart and exceedingly brave nurses. The discussion largely focused on:
1). The Suppression of Early Treatment
2). The COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates
As the panelists observed, the suppression of early treatment paved the way for developing the experimental gene transfer injections at “Warp Speed” and then mandating them. Throughout the pandemic, Senator Johnson demonstrated his understanding that the official policy response was not only a catastrophic failure, but also a usurpation of individual liberties guaranteed by the US Constitution.
James Madison, the author of our Constitution, understood the fragility of a true constitutional republic, which could, at any given time, be threatened by the tyranny of ambitious, power-seeking men. Throughout history, tyrants have invoked public emergencies in order to extend their power. This is precisely what we saw happening during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senator Johnson recognized this and courageously opposed it. Everyone in this country who cares about our constitutionally guaranteed liberties should be grateful for his reelection.
There has been a failure to break-the-back of the principled resistance to the dehumanization policy against "the unvaccinated".
As an early-treating physician, I was somewhat surprised at the "vaccine mandate" attack, proud of the Houston Nurses at Methodist Hospital who accepted firing, rather than being forced to accept the experimental injections. When my time came, I chose to "stand naked with the Jews", as an "untermensch", sub-human.
Still there... Not dead yet. Growing vegetables, building the house I designed, blogging history as we fight to be "on the right side" of it.

His re-election was critical. I donated to candidates of my choice & he was at the top of my list.
