DOJ Removes Sex Trafficking Info From Website
Biden Administration adopts code of Omerta with respect to child sex trade.
By JOHN LEAKE
In my recent review of the film Sound of Freedom, I noted the strange preposterousness of the film’s mocking, snarky reviews published by Rolling Stone and the UK Guardian. Why, I wondered, would the reviewers characterize the film’s premise as “QAnon conspiracy theory” when the State and Justice Departments have plainly acknowledged the reality of child sex trafficking on their websites?
It appears that I wasn’t the only person to notice this glaring contradiction between the mainstream media’s willful blindness to this monstrous commerce and official law enforcement acknowledgement of it.
So, as sensible people like me have learned to expect of the Biden Administration, instead of vigorously pointing out that the crime highlighted in Sound of Freedom is real, the Department of Justice….quietly removed entire detailed sections about the criminal enterprise from its website.
As just reported by Lorenz Duchamps at The Epoch Times:
The updated version of the webpage completely erased all three sections, which were added during President Donald Trump’s tenure on May 28, 2020, to counsel Americans about tactics that are being used by pimps and human traffickers targetting vulnerable children and luring them into prostitution and other forms of sexual exploitation using psychological manipulation.
In the top section under “Child Sex Trafficking”—which is still in the updated version of the website—the DOJ also erased the following paragraph.
“After cultivating a relationship with the child and engendering a false sense of trust, the trafficker will begin engaging the child in prostitution, and use physical, emotional, and psychological abuse to keep the child trapped in a life of prostitution. It is common for traffickers to isolate victims by moving them far away from friends and family, altering their physical appearances, or continuously moving them to new locations. Victims are heavily conditioned to remain loyal to the trafficker and to distrust law enforcement.”
The new version shows at the bottom of the website that the DOJ updated it in mid-May, roughly three years after the Trump administration added additional information highlighting how child sex trafficking is a major issue in the United States.
Why did the DOJ remove these sections? The southern Italian and Sicilian mafia have a name for remaining silent about one’s awareness of criminal activity in the community—OMERTA. And as everyone who has studied the mafia knows, the organization’s ultimate ambition is to extend the code of OMERTA into law enforcement agencies and the judiciary.
It reminds me of my favorite scene in The Godfather, when the narcotics trafficker Sollozzo tells Don Corleone:
Don Corleone, I need a man who has powerful friends. …. I need, Don Corleone, those politicians that you carry in your pocket like so many nickels and dimes.
So much evil in the world today, I’m just pissed off at myself for being blind to my surroundings. I guess I thought I lived in a free world, but now I realize it’s been a lie, I just wish others could wake up from their delusional dream.
I am a lawyer who defends the "mules" down on the Texas Border.
The film doesn't show the half of this very lucrative enterprise wherein the "traded commodity" aka children is younger and sadly, more abundant than ever.
