Mr Leake, tell the cupcakes to move on! Are you kidding me? Chuck Schumer/Mitch McConnell/Nancy Pelosi are the worst of the boomers you were referring to. Can we grow up now?

The oldest Boomers are 76 years old. The Boomer years are 1946-1964. No one 77 or older is a Boomer: It's not just an epithet for 'old'.

They aren’t all Democrats! Don’t forget Senator Charles E. Grassley, Republican of Iowa, age 90; Representative Harold Rogers, Republican of Kentucky, 85; Representative John Carter, Republican of Texas, 81; Representative Kay Granger, Republican of Texas, 80; Representative Virginia Foxx, Republican of North Carolina, 80; Senator Jim Risch, Republican of Idaho, 80; in addition to Senator Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky, 81.

Grassley's doing the lion's share of work investigating Hunter Biden & the Ukraine corruption though. I wouldn't necessarily excuse younger people from being corrupt. Younger people are more susceptible to wanting to fit in. Old farts don't give a rat's ass. I say judge on performance and whether they can answer straight questions and not ooze oil.

None of those are Boomers. They're all of the Silent Generation. If you're going to be an identitarian, at least get the identities right. You wouldn't call a kraut a wop, would you?

Just finished watching the Fawchee hearings….interesting to note he had his jar of vocabulary Vaseline ready when it got awkward….and golly, Miss Molly, how interesting to watch the phrasings and praising of all his friends on the council…as in “Watch your doorbell tomorrow, Im sending flowers “ You never know….wow so many never heard, never bothered! To follow the hard working researchers and doctors who are providing lists and more lists of Died Suddenly!! Needless, sickening !

It was so syrupy, to see them cow-towing was cringeworthy. So many phonies. Bowing and scraping despite the clip where he says that if you deny college attendance you can pressure people to give up their ideological BS. Wow, wow, wow! Dr. McCormac (not sure if that is his name, something like that) spoke the truth. He knew the data since he was in the trenches. Some made it a bipartisan issue instead of a medical issue, and I thought Ms. Green let herself down in the way she expressed herself. The data given by Fauci with no papers to reference goes like this not verbatim: the un-vaxxed had high mortality and high hospitalization rates by a long shot compared to the vaxxed. Morens is lying. The CDC are responsible for the six feet distancing etc.... Oh, it was painful to watch really.

Expand full comment

Ms Green doesn’t speak with lace doilies; she is open and real, and ticked off with her lazy colleagues, who have been riding the legislative train, special lunch in the dining car and turned up beds by 7 pm, a cup of hot cocoa if you buzz for it. “Doing the heavy lifting” as my brother used to say. Their whole life has been a coffee break ….

Lace doilies would be overkill. Her sentiments landed for me, but I think her impact would be more effective if she held her composure while transmitting her message.

Boomers were born from 1946 to 1964 .

Nancy and Joe and Mitch are too old to qualify ! Does it make a difference ? Well - they weren’t born in a time of peace and relief and victory - they were born in a time of stress , fear and separation from their fathers . Chuck Schumer - well there is no excuse for him .

If you really want to SOLVE the problem. you have to get BOTH sides of the Equation, the LIAR, and the PEOPLE who accept it. If forgiveness and "grace" were taken away from liars, they'd quickly stop lying. For example, I can't tell you how many Christians I've had admonish me for my article about Dr. Jordan Peterson https://danielnagase.substack.com/p/applied-psychology-part-1 telling me I should "forgive" him and show "grace" by not publicizing the great sin he did upon his followers telling them to take something he knew was a poison.

Expand full comment

It is a complete misuse of the Life of Christ. Liars should not be "forgiven", they should simply by expected to restore the damage their lies caused.

Expand full comment

I think you might be a bot. I cannot access your link and your statement is not coherent.

Expand full comment

Problems Caused by LIARS = The Liar + The People who go along with them.

"Going along" can be anything from not calling out their lie, to fully cooperating with the lie in the expectation of the reward. To get rid of the LIAR problem, you have to address both sides.

Expand full comment

Forgiving is not excusing. A person forgives for their own peace of mind. They give up emotionally wanting vengence while still keeping the person on the hook and seeking justice. I believe the crimes were heinous and justice should be severe but I take no pleasure in it. I don't wish to slake my vengeance or get revenge. I just want justice consisting of appropriate serious punishment and no more excuses.

In terms of Christ, if we really follow Him we should concern ourselves with Fauci's soul, which can only be redeemed via sincere repentance. That said, similar to an addict or alcoholic (famously narcissistic), it's not surprising he carries on with his lies and denies his role in harming others. But it's not until such people "hit bottom" that they get the choice to save their soul. My wish is for Fauci to receive the "gift" of justice such that he "hits bottom" with no more enablers to save him, and thus ends up with only one choice: genuinely repent or lose your soul for eternity.

Expand full comment

Daniel, Please consider: To forgive is not the same as to condone. As in famously: "Forgive them for they know not what they do." "Judge not that ye not be judged."

One personally understands/forgives the humanity (having it oneself) - and then holds the liar appropriately accountable for their lie/mistake/ignorance/sin etc. etc.

What I find is that all some idol has to do is declare themselves to be a devout Christian, and then all of the sudden they get a free pass from the community on all manner of treachery and betrayal, under the guise of "following Christ". If you replaced "forgiveness" with restitution, the world would be very different.

Expand full comment

Real Christianity is a "narrow way" and "few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14. What we have now is the popular religion of Baal, dressed up in some of the words of Jesus. If the leaders crave money and popularity, they cannot offend the carnal desires of the people.

John 5:43 I am come in my Father’s name, and you receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him you will receive. 44 How can you believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that comes from God only?

You are correct; proper repentance is a loathing of sin, and a desire to undo any of the damage that we have done to others, because we see it as done to God himself. Ezekiel 33:15 "If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die."

Cupcake here - accuracy still matters to me. I'm guessing he didn't rip on your generation. Plenty of rotten millennials and Gen Xers in politics - way plenty. He didn't bother to mention that fact - he chose to single out my generation. And the laughable part is that he missed being a baby boomer by six whole years! Now that makes a difference.

Anyone who thinks the future looks brighter because the likes of AOC and Gavin Newsome will soon displace the rotten old guard, needs their head examined. It will be worse - guaranteed - they're proving it, now.

I'm exercising my First Amendment right, while I still have it.

And McConnell and Pelosi are not baby boomers. Look it up.

For so many years, our representatives were Farmers, Doctors, Merchants, lawyers. They were part time legislators putting in their sweat and blood for this country. That stopped by the beginning of the 20th century. Coincidentally, about the same time - the 17th amendment was ratified. Look it up!! Read it!! It took away ALL the federal power from the states. That changed the nature of politics and our political future!!!

Geez… I’m a Boomer, b. 1954. Anyone not recognizing that we’ve destroyed everything we’ve touched, while inventing nothing, writing nothing, composing nothing… is just not paying attention.

And, yes, we need a mandatory retirement age far more than term limits.

Expand full comment

Term limits takes care of the retirement age issue.

Regarding retirement age: there are octogenarians who are wise and accomplished & intelligent & discerning: Thomas Sowell, Victor David Hanson, Clarence Thomas, but none of them are in politics.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely & the longer one is in power the more likely and deeply the corruption.

I would much rather have one of the aforementioned in office at their age after their primary carrier for several years than any of the fossilized barnacles currently in office for decades.

IMHO.

Things would not improve if nutcase baby boomers retired because there's an excellent crop of nutcase younger politicians already in place.

Let me remind you of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman, Cori Bush, Greg Casar, Summer Lee , and Delia Ramirez (serious nutcases all), Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Chris Wray, Steven Dettlebach, and every single below-age-55 politician-member of the Biden Regime. Kamala Harris is in a class of her own. One cannot both be a member of the Biden regime and *not* be a liar.

Baby-boomers are the last generation directly connected to WWII. They fought in Vietnam. When they go, much that is good will go with them. There will be a bumper crop of lying younger nutcases to replace them. Members of your generation, John.

I have read the corruption problem in Washington is multi-faceted: Bribery, threats, including death threats, lies, slander, and honey trap. I understand what you're stating but the corruption appears to be universal and all ages. However, I agree that getting some of the politicians that have been in office for 30 years or more would be a good thing. Unfortunately, I don't think term limits for congressmen will pass the house and senate.
