Honestly, a holistic natural model of healthcare is needed — one that doesn’t rely on drugs, generic or brand. Trust me, I’m a pharmacist and this is the model I’m looking to create.
Rockefeller used to have meetings with Bill Gates' father and others, like Margaret Sanger of Planned Parenthood fame, to discuss population control. I'm surprised Joe Kennedy wasn't also involved in the beginnings of pharma seeing as he had no problem stealing land from people who couldn't pay their bills in the Great Depression.
Studies do not show diet is just as effective, unless you are referring to a permanent change in diet. This is mostly because people can only stay on any given diet for a while and then gain the pounds back. That's what studies show. Sometimes they gain more than what they started with.
It's a life style change that is effective, including learning how to read labels, cutting out as much unnecessary carbs as possible, intermittent or time restricted fasting and daily exercise. If you can convince someone to do that, you have changed a life. But many Americans would prefer to give themselves a shot which magically drops pounds without any regard to the side effects. Anything to look good while they continue to indulge themselves. Although with nausea and vomiting as a common side effect, I doubt they are indulging themselves too much.
But not to worry, the insurance companies in multiple states recently announced they won't pay for Ozempic and other drugs if the diagnosis is Obesity. So, the black market will flourish and doctors will find a way to change the diagnosis to diabetes.
LOL….Do you actually think that Mark Cuban would have gone up against the powers that be, to provide ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, etc., to people when the government, CDC, WHO, etc., made sure that these generic drugs were unavailable? Seriously? Is Mark Cuban jumping into this for altruistic reasons? Of course not. Whether Cuban, Gates or whomever, these are actions motivated solely by profit.
I remember when all genetics were a $10 per month cost. The competition was fierce. Then ACA hit and generic makers were rolled up into mega generic makers with predictable massive price increase.
Franklin, Randall and Inisfad all correct. “Never let a crisis go to waste.” You can always count on opportunists to take advantage of a situation. This is not always a bad thing. Some great inventions were made to satisfy a need. But the hypocrisy is some… GoodRx is a popular coupon system with many drugs costing less to pay cash than the copay when using insurance. However, pharmacies will not honor the GoodRx coupon to bypass your insurance plan if they know you have Medicare. You are not permitted to use drug company coupons either, if you have Medicare.
Apparently Mark does not know that you don't have to be a customer of CostCo to get their prices. Also, there are numerous online sources with free prescription coupons. He should stick to owning sports teams.

For example, we don’t need $1,000 drugs to treat obesity, when studies show diet is JUST as effective without the dangerous side effects: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/the-hidden-struggle-in-health-care
The Snake Oil Sales of Traveling Shows has never left the Global Medicines delivery system
It just got expanded into dozens of million sq ft office/ laboratory/factory/warehouses.
Instead of horse drawn Conestoga wagons with slick talkin well dressed salesmen.
When .GOV protects big pHARMA the way they do, humanity is in big trouble.
Randall you’re 100% right and the fact that you used the phrase “snake oil sales” is so accurate becuase we can trace our modern pharma system to JD Rockefellers dad who was a snake oils man: https://unorthodoxy.substack.com/p/donating-to-a-good-cause-how-billionaires

Bingo. Un-Godly amounts of money in one mans pocket "could" buy a remedy and an epic motivation for wellness and foster wisely "The Good Of Mankind".
Or buy the Road to Un-Godly amounts of self absorbed profiting Monopolies.
Hence the game board is a 100 year old snap shot of JD and others like Dupont.
I think between drug companies and modern plastics, the stealth invasion of toxins have reached the "UNAVOIDABLY UNSAFE" thresholds consumed.
It will be interesting to see how well the human body and spirit adapts to this.
We have come a long way. Overcame major hurdles. I have grandkids to advise.

I get some drugs from India and save money.
I'm guessing that some people only need The Red Pill to bring about the changes that they need during this pandemic!
