That e-book was ‘recalled’ from actual purchasers, and was therefore e-purged. Do not remember the exact instance, but that reinforced my decision to acquire actual books for reference in the event ‘powers that be’ enacting the ‘revisionist history’ campaign. Reasoning was if it happened in other countries, it will happen here. Dismaying realization but facts are better protection than wishful thinking.

Exception to that would be Michener, Scott-Card, Twain, Pohl etc. As a cabinet maker I think I am intentionally mis-building wall cabinets for clients so that I can store more books. I hate/love reading. It seems so slow, but is so amazing.
In December I bought a book on a lark, at a local SPCA thrift store and it was an exhaustive accounting of Abbeys, Castles, and Ancient Halls of England and Wales. I finally opened it up and discovered that it has been published in 1872, and had notations of the original book owner(s) noting familial ties and furniture they owned from castles and such, of various families dating back over 1,600 years. The Bigods of England, among the many. Says the mantel in their LA home was from a castle in England. Amazing. Had some pressed maple leaves in it, too.

I agree generally with what you are saying. My husband would rather eat a spider than read a medical research paper. I stay up late often times reading through studies because they interest me so much (my interest is in health/diet/microbiome/immune system/vaccines). From what I can tell by reading the foreword by Naomi, these “VOLUNTEERS” DID work for no money: “As a result of our calls for expert help, we received 2000, then 2500, and finally 3500 responses from VOLUNTEERS, many of whom are experts in their fields. Biostatisticians, lab clinicians, pathologists, anesthesiologists, sports medicine physicians, cardiologists, research scientists, RNs, and many other related disciplines are represented among these decent, highly-skilled people who offered to read through these difficult, technical documents — PRO BONO, AS A SERVICE TO HUMANITY [MY EMPHASIS] and out of respect as well, in many cases, for their own lifelong commitment to real science, real medicine, and truth in general.”

To be paid for something does not make anything "HIGHLY VALUABLE". "Compensation" does not have to only come from money, you would agree? Persons volunteer their care often enough without the incentive of money.

Are you unaware of the work of the virologist Stefan Lanka? I would be delighted share any resources you might like. The papers alleging viruses, written from the 1930s-1950s are also enlightening. Those men and women (called scientists) killed a lot of chickens, rabbits, and monkeys, via injection - hardly a natural means of "infection."

In 2020, someone who claimed he work in the U.S. military, said that he saw evidence of air-borne transmission of HIV in non-human primates. I asked for the evidence, and he never responded. So ... Those men and women (called scientists) killed a lot of chickens, rabbits, and monkeys, via injection - hardly a natural means of "infection."

Were you making a comment directed toward my inquiry about evidence of exogenous, contagious, pathogenic viruses? All I want is some evidence from a paper with some methodology. In 2020, someone who claimed he work in the U.S. military, said that he saw evidence of air-borne transmission of HIV in non-human primates. I asked for the evidence, and he never responded. So ... I am not sure what you mean by saying that I "won't get a satisfactory answer." Either we see sound methodology, or we see Enders redux - mix and match eggs, milk, calf blood, antibiotics, then declare that fairy dust exists, and er, maybe there are viruses in the monkey kidney cells too?!
