I so agree. Excellent.

We need more exposure and pushback to the classic “but they’re suicidal”reason that many parents feel compelled to act upon. Commonly, it only becomes worse later in life - when the “happiness” they sought is absent. This is truly tragic on all levels.

I am dissappointed to see such a contorted justification for the outright denial of individual differences in sexuality which are no different than any of the myriad differences humans display across the diaspora spectrum of obvious physical and mental variations. Your position and that of those who share your ignorance of reality is a true cruel tragedy to those who do not share your misguided and untrue position on this subject.

Did we read the same article? Of course individuals differ. Reality expressed in the data - "peer relations and perceived victimization were highly associated with lower well being and gender dysphoria. "...could not be adjusted away." We expect that to be true and per individual. Thus advice to parents to pay attention to the doom-scrolling kid in the corner. I see that advice is more than wise. Some may disagree about allowing nature to take it's course with the child continuing to grow as an individual. Is that misguided?

When I was a child, I thought as a child. We all did. Every step in life is a learning experience. Most survive, humans can be strong animals. We learn along that path. Allow that time to grow.
