What I found troubling was that 114 out of 155 trans women "never took estrogen". I thought that estrogen supplementation, in addition to testosterone suppression, was core to transitioning. I'm not an expert, but that seems like what we hear in the media. "Female hormones and male hormone suppression/puberty blockers" ... so now think about what that means for younger trans women participating in female sports ... how many have "never taken estrogen"? So if a trans woman has only had testosterone suppression but not supplemental estrogens, how can that be affirmed as "qualified-enough" to compete against biological girls? smdh
The fact that 98% of the case study patients had NOT undergone castration (i.e., they still had an onboard source of testosterone) makes this a not very interesting study in my view. Why doesn't the study report actual testosterone levels? I can't believe it survived peer review, to be honest.
I think ALL the serious scientists and doctors should be UNITED and part of this group and this is why?
