Sinopharm Inactivated Whole Virus Vaccine Fails on Omicron BA.5
Chinese Vaccine Real World Data Nothing Close to WHO Assertions
By Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH
Of the three quarters of Americans who took one of the COVID-19 vaccines in the last two years, 94% were injected with mRNA coding for the Spike protein that was engineered in the Wuhan Institute of Virology Biosecurity Annex, the same place where SARS-CoV-2 launched its attack on the world.
For vaccination, the Chinese took a different approach with a large menu of products available. One of the most popular vaccines has been the Sinopharm inactivated or killed whole SARS-CoV-2 vaccine. This is what the WHO said about Sinopharm with its initial results presumably with the early strains of the virus:
“How efficacious is the vaccine? A large multi-country Phase 3 trial has shown that 2 doses, administered at an interval of 21 days, have an efficacy of 79% against symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection 14 or more days after the second dose. Vaccine efficacy against hospitalization was 79%. The trial was not designed and powered to demonstrate efficacy against severe disease in persons with comorbidities, in pregnancy, or in persons aged 60 years and above. Women were underrepresented in the trial. The median duration of follow-up available at the time of evidence review was 112 days.”
WHO: The Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine: What you need to know, June, 2022
The Omicron outbreak began in November 2021 and has been running worldwide with a series of subvariants within the family. BA.5 was dominant in the summer of 2022 around the time of the WHO statement. Now Wang et al report in JAMA that the Sinopharm had clinically useless rates (28.9%) of vaccine efficacy in the real world, with a negligible impact on spread of the virus in detailed case contact tracing results. For a vaccine to be clinically viable it must have >50% vaccine efficacy over a duration of at least 12 months. Of individuals who spread infections, 157 individuals (23.0%) had 2 doses of vaccine and 526 individuals (77.0%) had 3 doses of vaccine. No protective outcome was detected beyond 90 days after the booster dose.
In summary, the Sinopharm inactivated whole virus vaccine failed against the rapidly mutating Omicron variant. The WHO statements on Sinopharm should be taken down and replaced with conclusions that the vaccine is now ineffective against Omicron BA.5. These data suggest Sinopharm vaccines should be pulled off worldwide markets to avoid any additional administrations of obsolete product.

Am I the only one that finds this the most chilling statement ever made?
It stands to reason that Sinopharm, using the inactive original Wuhan virus, would be ineffective against Omicron mutations. But actually ALL covid vaccines should be pulled from the world market, as they are either wholly dependent on the Wuhan strain, or, as with the bivalent, continue to use the Wuhan strain as part of their makeup. The actual point is that, according to ‘buried’ published scientific data, those who were not already immunocompromised, ALREADY had antibodies that provided robust protection to Covid, prior to any vaccine.
