Ha, well that puts me squarely on the loner side. I find, even as a child, group think to be horrendous. Probably that's why I could never keep a job long, I hate being told what to do, so I worked for myself. And yeah, it's hard. But, it is also true to yourself and usually, not always, one ends up correct on all types of issues in the long run. Obviously technical issues needs a group, but I think you get my thought.

The left believes it is their way or the highway. They are now looking to take total control, by all means, as the Twitter documents have recently demonstrated. They have the Media.

And I predict they will destroy the country, either by it splitting in pieces or civil war, then splitting in pieces.

Probably now is a good time to decide where we should live and be on the lookout for areas of intense group think.

You don’t have a bad attitude. You have just been awakened, and if we don’t push back with everything we have, they will win. They do want chaos, riots, and a civil war, but we will prevail in the end. Contrary to what the narrative is, we are the majority, 80-20, 85-15. The future will prove us right. I still believe there are brilliant strategic minds working to save our country.

I took the Myers Briggs test in "outplacement" when I got 'laid off" from a corporate job. It really helped me understand my place in the world. Not perfect, but pretty close and 30 years later, it was great for my/our marriage. This is me - INTJ:

https://www.16personalities.com/intj-personality

"It can be lonely at the top. As one of the rarest personality types – and one of the most capable – Architects (INTJs) know this all too well. Rational and quick-witted, Architects pride themselves on their ability to think for themselves, not to mention their uncanny knack for seeing right through phoniness and hypocrisy. But because their minds are never at rest, Architects may struggle to find people who can keep up with their nonstop analysis of everything around them."

Posting at 4:55 AM, so the part about "minds are never at rest" might be true!!

I feel bad about this, but I'll break it to you as gently as I can. Myers-Briggs (MBTI) is yet another example of a ‘psychological test’ that looks fine on the surface, but is deeply flawed underneath. Many people have found comfort in being assessed as a particular MBTI combo. However many, too, have gained equal comfort from their astrological signs or from adopting a particular religion.

Applying the same critical thinking & a scientific approach to the MBTI as you might have done to the COVID racket, you will find that it has failed proper tests of validity and reliability in acadaemic settings. Look into its history & you'll see that you have likely experienced the wonders of a placebo.

MBTI & suchlike are very popular with HR departments & recruitment firms. Have a think about the kind of people who work in those areas. Consider their affinity for real science & critical thinking & ask yourself how well that aligns with the range of mindless pap that they seem to pump out.

FWIW, I also did the MBTI thing many (30?) years ago. The 'facilitators' at the time failed to answer my questions so I followed up for myself & came to the above conclusions. I can't remember the letters combo I was given. Might they have decoded as an awkward bugger?

Despite that, I'm pleased that you & others here sorted yourselves out. My own saving was the local pub & its clever regulars.

Running around but I thought your comment deserved a reply. When in doubt, I go to Carl Sagan (who raises more doubt!!) - https://uscatholic.org/articles/198105/god-and-carl-sagan-is-the-cosmos-big-enough-for-both-of-them/

The MSM today is utterly devoid of people such as Carl Sagan. He would be cancelled.

I remember reading his "Science as a candle in the dark" 25 years ago & found it very moving. He knew he was dying, so it was written against the clock & perhaps seemed a little scrappier than his previous output. Some of his gems, however, were extremely prescient. I suspect most people coming here would probably agree with them:

1. "I have a foreboding of an America in my children's or grandchildren's time [that's now - DD] when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what’s true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness."

2. "One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back."

3. "If we are not able to ask skeptical questions, to interrogate those who tell us that something is true, to be skeptical of those in authority, then, we are up for grabs for the next charlatan (political or religious) who comes rambling along."

I'm sure you are familiar with those, but thanks for making me look them up. They are a reminder of how quickly 90%-95% of the global population has fallen for multiple bamboozles perpetrated by their own governments.

Have a good day.

DD.

Also an INTJ. While I am comfortable with the solitude that this personality tends to engender, it is a struggle for my ENTJ daughter here in Woke-ifornia.

She might do well to start her own business, as I did in California, also being an ENTJ. I ran it well and was working for myself selling window tinting to new home owners and it was very popular as they were building so many new homes in the 80s.

My daughter and I ran a ‘support group’ during most of the C1984 operation for The Awokened. So I had a self-selecting, local subject group to ask questions of.

I kept getting asked why are we awake? So as any good researcher would do, I pondered the question.

The subjects came from The professions, and the less educated working class. So not about intelligence, education, or class distinctions.

When asked ‘what were you like in school? Were you like ‘the different, odd one’? Rebellious? Asked too many questions? From a religious family in a non religious area? Etc

None were members of the ‘in-group’. All may be described as members of The Outsider group.

I also concluded that we are borne that way. Clearly it’s something inherently different that makes us desire to remain different.

Though tbh I’m from a family that were ‘different’ outsiders. When I was a young punk in NY I recall my step-father (tax lawyer for NY State part of team that broke up Mafia HUD in New Orleans. Staffed at WTC!) told me the world is full of conspiracies and the Govn’t are mostly involved in them.

My mother for my 18th Birthday gave me the book ‘The Hidden Persuaders’.

My grandfather fought against the unions and their mafia friends in 1930’s Chicago.

And tbh many of the group did describe at least one parent as also having the ‘independence’ trait. So could be partly nurture.

Concl this ‘independence’ trait is stronger in expression than group coherence.

PS My children are like me too.

Hi Blackwater River, I found your post to be one of the most interesting I have read in a while.

Over the past two years, I, too, have found myself often reflecting on "why am I this way"? With around half my family in farming for multiple generations and half leaving for the cities and becoming highly educated, I could see that intelligence and education were not the "why."

While my parents both had some independence traits in that they raised us to question the system, both of them got the shots. As far as I know, I am the only one in my entire extended family (12 cousins in my generation, one just died of a suspicious cancer) that has not received the gene therapy shots.

One cousin even paid me a visit early on in the plandemic to question my rationale for refusing the shots, ominously quoting propaganda from the Health Canada website. I am quite certain that she would have happily turned me in for some extra food rations, if she got the chance!

As for me, I am definitely the following: loner, extreme introvert (INFP), critical thinker, researcher (PhD in Education), studying herbalism for over 20 years now, left academia to homestead and build a sustainable cabin on my land. I am also deeply spiritual and in tune with animals and nature.

I would love to continue this conversation somehow. Have you thought about starting your own Substack on this topic?

Kind regards, Happy Homesteader

Thank you so much for your appreciative comment. It has meant much to me.

I’ve thought about writing my own substack, yet felt as there are so many already covering the relevant points, I would merely be adding to the traffic. Already I have to choose which article I want to read throughout the day.

I may still do so though if only to explain why I think Desmet’s theory is wrong/erroneous.

I became a psychologist because I wanted to understand the Why about the Good Germans (and Dutch, Belgian, and a few Frenchmen, Ukrainians). Nowhere did I come across a theory like they were hypnotized or anxious.

I also looked into the economic situation and strongly believe that’s the last factor to be put in play today. Without the collapse of The Weimar Deutschmark due to excessive reparations, and MMT money printing inflation, they may not have been so keen to follow The Saviour archetype.

And TPTB set up these Heroes very carefully. Baalone had come from nowhere to be pushed to be the headliner for us all while moving the narrative away from certain issues. Like his own involvement for Remdesivar use!

Or rather, he came from the deep state. Only way out is in a body bag.

When I worked as an HR Director much of my job involved interpreting conversations and correspondence. I tried to fathom what they were really saying behind what they said. I looked for tells, leaks, that exposed motivations and outright lies.

I did the same when working with clients as a Counselling Psychologist. Yes, clients lie to their therapists. And manipulate them too.

I want to do more to contribute in this fight vs the evil global coups. Perhaps writing will be it. But I’d make it free, and open for personal messages if someone needs urgent support.

Dark times behind us and in front of us. It’s hard to not get disheartened.

Hi Blackwater River, I am equally grateful for your own comment

I agree with much of your analysis of where things are at and where they are heading. Yes, I, too, think that having people further out on the economic precipice will definitely improve compliance when the next power grab is implemented.

What will that be? My opinion is that C-19 was just the trial run. Unfortunately, I think that from their perspective it was “successful” in terms of the powergrab, despite the implausibly low mortality rate. They have assessed gaps in compliance and are drafting the legislation/infrastructure to "improve" it.

My concern is that the release of a bioweapon with a much higher mortality rate may be coming. This will clearly make it more difficult to resist their narrative and the larger powergrab that will come along with it. Anyhow, that is just my opinion on where things are going. I sincerely hope I am wrong or that, somehow, we are able to stay the course and shift the direction collectively.

Yes, you are right again: it's hard not to get disheartened. I am extremely isolated in my rural area. There are so few I can speak honestly with about what I feel is going on. I never thought in my lifetime that I would fear losing my home to stand up for my medical freedom; that I would be villanized by our national media and local co-workers for doing so, that the bank accounts of people in Canada supporting lawful protest would be frozen and seized. Even as I write that, I still find it hard to believe.

However, your message has encouraged me. I think that sharing information on a Substack like this is important. I also think that supporting each other is equally important. I am in the process of developing training related to self-reliance from a wholistic perspective: mind, body, spirit. I hope that we can continue this conversation further. as I think you have a unique perspective that could help all of us "lone wolves" out there strengthen ourselves.

Kind regards, HappyHomesteader

This is a great post. The brainwashing about how wonderful vaccines are has been going on for decades. I still remember learning about them in high school. It was all garbage of course, but I didn’t know that at the time. In 2018, I began taking a deep dive into vaccine and I was horrified by what I learned. They aren’t properly tested, they have little benefits and they purposefully do not look for harms or non-specific effects especially those that happen long term or from accumulative exposure. The brainwashing has basically been programming people to believe that vaccines are the greatest scientific invention of all time and that all major diseases that used to maim and kill people are no longer a threat because of them. And most importantly, people have been programmed to believe that those who don’t see vaccines as the savior of mankind are ignorant, selfish, anti-social people. Anti-vaxxers were the perfect enemy for the propagandists to unite the country against. The virus and those who created it were not the enemy. It was always the anti-vaxxers.

The pharmaceutical companies are almost all-powerful because through massive injection of funding, they control corporate media, the medical journals, the medical education system, politicians, major social media platforms, the pharma industry, public health agencies etc. Thanks to independent media, people can find the truth if they dare to look but most brainwashed people won’t even look for fear of joining the lowest of the low groups, the antivaxxers. People want to be viewed by their peers as educated, good, nice, self sacrificing and antivaxxers have been painted as the opposite. It’s been a brilliantly executed plan. Hopefully they can’t find a way to shut down independent media for those of us who have overcome the brainwashing. I know they have tried because I have seen it but so far, true information can still be found.

Another thing to consider is simply information overload and individuals rate of consumption. Most people tracking this issue in substack and many other forums are the exception and not the norm. The average normie will not be inclined to consume this much information all the time. Consequently, they revert to group think since it's the path of least resistance. I think it's one of the drawbacks of social media prominence.

Those are the same people who don’t go to funerals because it’s just not a very pleasant experience, like the rest of us are hooping it up. Sometimes I don’t want to think about it, and sometimes I can’t stop thinking about it. It encompasses a large part of my life whether I like it or not. Sometimes I want to walk away and live my life in ignorance, but I can’t seem to do it. I believe a lot of people who were on the Left, moderate Dems, are coming into the light. More will come when they find out what’s really happening. I would direct people to the 4th of July in D.C., January 6th on the Mall, 2nd Amendment protest in Richmond, VA (town hall meetings were packed with 2nd Amendment supporters - never happened before), rallies for POTUS45. The crowds were massive. I’d never seen anything like it. Folks, don’t ever let anyone tell you that our numbers are few. A lot of Americans know exactly what’s going on, and they’re stepping up to the plate. You won’t see it on fake news, so you’ve got to look for it. Americans have awakened and are participating. There will always be those who don’t participate. That’s up to them. That’s their choice. Our numbers will grow larger.
