When having Covid; it was the key therapy for me breaking the symptoms of this bizarre illness towards finding complete recovery within two days. Nobody had the disease for more than a few days and the children didn't have symptoms if they had it.

I had chronic and severe sinusitis for decades. Had surgery to remove nasal polyps. After surgery the ENT suggested daily saline nasal rinses to manage the sinusitis. Been daily sinus rinsing for 10 years. Just a few colds, a mild bout of Covid and the sinusitis has not returned. I also use Xylitol as needed. Especially if was in a crowded room with sneezers, wheezers, snifflers and coughers.

That study about xylitol causing cardiovascular issues has been dismissed as nonsense by people who know how to analyze studies. There was a similar one that came out a year or so ago about monk fruit, I think it was, that was also junk. I think the sugar industry is on the attack again.
I haven't tried Xclear but I eat xylitol mints for dental health. Works great for that, Ellie Phillips DDS is right. But it's still a sugar alcohol and it bothers my gut.

I worry that, while x clear is an effective product, people don't know how xylitol affects your canine. Xylitol has 0 calories for a human. A dog sees the xylitol as a super-sugar, and it's pancreas over reacts to flood insulin to clear it. This becomes a cascade effect that shuts down the dog's kidneys. My American Mastiff died in misery, in four days, in a vet's hospital. She consumed a 100 pack refill bag of a popular chewing gum, by standing on her back legs and fishing it off the top of a tall dresser. Dogs love minty sweets. The xylitol kills dogs at 1/100th the dose that chocolate would. A 10 pound terrier could die from 1 piece of discarded gum that you never know about. I’m sorry for your loss but xylitol is in chewing gum for humans. You didn’t give it to your dog. It’s very effective against tooth decay, much more than fluoride which is a neurotoxin. I have 3 dogs and my husband loves chewing gum. The dogs aren’t interested in our gum. It’s sad what happened to your dog.
