All of our institutions have been infiltrated and compromised. Food, health, education, banking, commerce, law,... There is no TRUST as 98% of our social interactions are with strangers (aka someone that has not shared a meal at your dinner table). I forsee a rise of actual community and city-states within a confederation (voluntary federation), but only from the ashes of civil war and destruction of every institution including the CIA.
I see this decline as an exact correlation to the world's turning away from the God of the world AKA away from Judeo Christian values. I don't see people returning to God so am also trying to prepare for massive destruction by incompetent, narcissistic, fantasizing, leaders and influencers. The spawn of atheism is Marxism and it's many allies-communism, tyrannies, and unfortunately the Democratic Party leadership, etc. Republicans are a little better though too many are cowards, and ignorant, and narcissist. It was the Chinese massive reflation that saved the world economy post-GFC, and Chinese exports to the US are only 17% of the total. China has relatively low levels of domestic consumption so has a large opportunity to grow the economy at home not dependent on exports. The drive to move manufacturing out of China has simply meant that those imports are routed through third-parties while the Chinese jump up the technology curve. There are issues to be dealt with but its economy is certainly not "teetering", as the usual crowd that has been calling for a China collapse for decades are bloviating about.

I’m glad I no longer watch the Olympics. I stopped when they allowed professional athletes, as that seemed to ruin it. Also, I didn’t like it when they added all those melodramatic, ‘Queen for a day’, sob stories about an athlete. I just wanted to watch the competition; I wasn’t interested in their personal story. Now it appears to be totally ruined. I think soon the Olympics will stop, which is fine with me. Apparently it used to be required that biological male transgender athletes (at least under some circumstances) had to have undergone gender reassignment surgery before being qualified to compete as women. That constraint is now gone.
Men with their greater muscle mass (on average) may still have an edge on jumps and spins. The question is, does a transgender woman bring those characteristics to the women's program and is it an unfair advantage? When all the top men can do a quad but not all the women, it seems like there is an edge. But I would never claim to be an expert on figure skating! (Or most other sports)

Point being, women athletes are inherently better than men in very few disciplines, figure skating being one. Perhaps gymnastics, too?
