It's absolutely obvious that the two men are different people. Which makes me wonder why NYPD is rushing out with pictures, posters, and reward incentives?

Something about this smells fishy.

The murder itself maybe a psyop executed by a professional. The people who understand the message know the motive. It doesn't seem like angry customer / employee of UNH.

It might not have started out that way but never let a crisis go to waste. You can be sure this idea will be pursued. What I don't think those that pursue it realize is that they picked an unsympathetic case. If more surveillance means folks can't shoot evil people as easily they will likely not be in favor of it lol

Everything about it does does it not always these days?

Wow! This guy has more press coverage than the man who shot DJTrump in Butler PA!

With that said, I love a good crime story and am interested in the final chapter

Even a little investigation into that one on Trump is completely ridiculous and filled with anomalies

I don't like it. We know too much too fast. Feels like a narrative. Even if he did...was he groomed...who do we know that is involved in the insider trading?

Most of Congress is involved in Insider trading. LOL

Look at the wall to wall reporting on this compared to the two assassination attempts on President Trump.

Oh picked up this afternoon in a McDonalds in Altoona PA....with a gun and silencer matching the murder weapon....and oh oh reading he had a manifesto 😂 good grief.

I think it is the mystery that is captivating.

Our surveillance state may have more pics that are not released publicly so as not to full on wake people up. Is anybody else thinking shades of Fahrenheit 451?

How does knowledge of the movements of Trump shooter compare to this alleged shooter?

The immense coverage of this assassination and manhunt, versus - for example, the minimal coverage by comparison to Trump’s first assassination attempt - or say Seth Rich, or say Andrew Breitbart, or any endless number or questionable deaths that were largely swept under the rug, causes me to question the leading narrative. Any time the media in unison rallies around an issue or person, it tells me the narrative is likely pre-planned with intent to manipulate. That said, what are we not seeing? What aspects of this case, of UH or of Thompson are we purposely being distracted from scrutinizing more closely? I garauntee you this trickle of breadcrumbs is well orchestrated and what we are being told is a universe away from the truth.

Yep agree

Yup well said. My thoughts exactly. It's like a movie. The quality of the images. Even the movie star handsome. A classic "who dun it" doled out in instalments for a gullible public.

So we are in agreement the man was not acting alone and this is a well planned sophisticated hit that will be difficult to unravel.

These are highly skilled hit men like the CIA, MI5 and Mossad .

In the mafia world, when you betray the trust reposed in you, the penalty can be very harsh including death.

The suspect nabbed in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson is an anti-capitalist Ivy League grad who liked online quotes from “Unabomber’’ Ted Kaczynski — and seethed in a manifesto, “These parasites had it coming,” law enforcement sources told The Post on Monday. From NY post article

Now he was picked up in a McDonald with the weapon on him? Why? Interesting that he has been taken into custody alive. Doesn't fit what I thought would happen. Thought he would have gone out in a blaze of glory.

He may be a decoy. The claim they found him with a backpack in P.A that contains a gun and some other stuff. And the police said they found his backpack at the park in New York.

So how many backpacks was he carrying?

Expand full comment

True...and how many guns or did he keep the same weapon just to be sure the police could have this case tied up. It's almost certain this guy would have been seeing a psychiatrist.

Yep and dont seem worried at all about how many times on the camera and even looking right at it got away way to easy

Expand full comment

It is very hard to tell. The guy himself being See eye eh? I guess he could be a decoy. What I was thinking is maybe he was groomed aka they find a person online that is susceptible. Befriend. Encourage. Enable. Basically get the rube to go through with everything then just fade away. Sometimes fact is stranger than fiction I suppose and it could be what we are seeing at face value.. It was the casings that gave me pause. For Nashville, that 'manifesto' was never going to see the light of day until Crowder found the whistleblower. Remember the kidnappers in Pennsylvania? They I believe we're found not guilty for entrapment. When a detail like the casings comes out early, to me it seems like it is the narrative that 'they' whoever that is would be pushing wants us to believe. Everyone picked up on that immediately. I think they will end up catching up with this guy and he will be related to or himself a person denied life saving care. Tie that all up with a nice bow. When they come for him, a stand off, real or manufactured. and he doesn't make it out to tell tales. But that also is the thing about conspiracies is that they can never really be proven false.

Brian Thompson was killed by a man because he was about to speak at an investor meeting and testify to Congress about United Healthcare business practices. The REAL question is " what was he going to reveal"? My thought is he was going to reveal the money that members of the House and Senate make on the Stock Market, specifically Nancy Pelosi. This is not what it seems.

I thought I saw some questions/comments about the insider trading, but I don't see them now - but this says that the 3 United Health executives (Thompson being one of them) are/were being sued in a class action lawsuit related to the insider trading as below. Also, the wife said there had been threats against Thompson due to lack of medical coverage; Thompson was separated from wife which is a reason she doesn't know details but also - if the true threat was related to legal matters related to United Health (whether the class action suit or the DOJ investigation - perhaps a threat related to denial of coverage was to create a red herring? Though apparently United Health execs have had threats before related to denial of coverage for treatment. Article below does not name the other two involved in the insider training but mentions class action suit.

Slain UnitedHealthcare CEO Was Accused Of Insider Trading Amid DOJ Probe by Nina Golgowski

Updated Thu, December 5, 2024 at 2:05 PM EST, UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was facing a lawsuit accusing him and other executives of insider trading related to an ongoing Justice Department investigation before he was fatally shot outside a New York City hotel on Wednesday.

Thompson, 50, was one of three UnitedHealth Group executives named in a class action lawsuit filed in May that accused them of dumping millions of dollars worth of stock while the company was the subject of a federal antitrust investigation, which investors say wasn’t immediately disclosed to shareholders. “UnitedHealth was aware of the DOJ investigation since at least October 2023. Instead of disclosing this material investigation to investors or the public, UnitedHealth insiders sold more than $120 million of their personally held UnitedHealth shares,” the suit filed by the City of Hollywood Firefighters’ Pension Fund alleges.

Nearly $25 billion in shareholder value was erased once the investigation was publicly revealed in February. Thompson was able to sell off more than $15 million of his own UnitedHealth shares before the value dropped, however, the suit states.

It was the first time that Thompson had sold shares since becoming CEO of the company’s insurance division in 2021, Crain’s New York Business reported back in April.

Attorneys listed as representing Thompson in the suit did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment Thursday.

Police have not identified a suspect or possible motive in the shooting as of Thursday morning. The assassin was able to take off on a bicycle, though they reportedly left shell casings at the scene with the words “deny,” “defend” and “depose” on them, law enforcement sources told ABC and NBC News. These words resemble a three-word tactic that insurance companies are commonly accused of using to deny insurance services and payments. The phrase “Delay, Deny, Defend” is also the title of a 2010 book that is said to expose insurance injustice and explain how consumers and lawmakers can fight back.

Thompson’s wife, Paulette, told NBC News on Wednesday that her husband had been the subject of threats related to a lack of medical coverage. “I don’t know details. I just know that he said there were some people that had been threatening him,” she told the outlet. Despite the threats, she said, her husband didn’t change his travel routine.

The DOJ’s investigation has focused on potential conflicts between the company’s insurance unit and its Optum health services arm, including favoritism toward the physician groups acquired by Optum and challenges imposed on rivaling health insurers, as The Wall Street Journal reported.
