Well said; I've been struggling against the odds to get people to listen to this simple fact. It's not a left/ right issue when the globalists are pulling everybody's strings. Though it's not helped by old-school lefties like me (and I'm assuming yourself) when others once sharing my core left-wing values of free speech, accountable government, support for those in need, decent health and education for all, investment in infrastructure and transport (etc., etc.), ... get swept up in the phoney-left toxic bile of the present. And, yes, roughly speaking, and imperfect though the implementation was, we had many years of such government, until globalist interests consolidated in the direction of dictatorship. The significant turning point being, it might be noted, the 9/11 false flag operation and creation of a new set of myths (which the majority, as with the new covid mythology, unquestioningly share) by the Neocon right.
But you'll find that those on the right only see the corruption of the Biden lot as supporting a right-wing agenda - they get their categories mixed up, don't see the complete socio-economic history, fail to grasp important logical distinctions and cannot be argued with. Just a friendly warning!

Russia made it PERFECTLY clear to the Western World they would not stand by and have a NATO country right against their border. Everyone knew that including America. They said there needed to be a non aligned buffer country between them and that's what Ukraine was.
The other thing I know is that there's a lot of Russian speaking people on the disputed eastern area of Ukraine next to Russia. That's a historical fact.
So why is the US supporting a conflict there against Russia? The US needs to back off and leave that conflict alone. Doesn't affect them whatsoever.
I used to go with the argument that Putin is a tyrant (well, OK, he is) and that the west needs to stand up to imperialism. What naiveté. I came to understand in time how NATO and the west have betrayed agreements going back decades and that the Russian base-line is completely reasonable - the fact they are open to discussions at this very moment with a position based on previous understandings (which the west now does not acknowledge) just goes to show how true Orwell's and others' observations are about war being a means to hang on to power. If the MSM fought this, we'd be home and safe, but they are the mouth-pieces of higher interests.
